What this is
A French company that foresees difficulties it cannot overcome, but can still pay its debts, can ask the court for a safeguard procedure (procédure de sauvegarde). This site lists the companies whose latest procedure in 2024–2026 is a safeguard and that had 10 employees or more according to INSEE.
Who uses it
- Suppliers and customers — is this company under court protection, and since when?
- In liquidation? — see French companies in judicial liquidation.
What it is not
Not the BODACC, not a court registry, and not a Kbis. A safeguard is a protection asked for by a company that still trades: most companies here keep operating. The headcount band is the one INSEE holds for the company (SIRENE), for the year shown; it can be out of date. The procedure is the latest one published in the BODACC in 2024–2026.
